Pro Coaching with Sam Dale and Craig Evans (11-1pm)

13 April @ 11:00 am - 14 April @ 1:00 pm

Ride with a Pro

Do you want to improve your riding technique, maximise your efficiency on the bike, learn the best training strategies and more? Who better to help you than two professional mountain bikers who have competed at the highest level.

Meet and ride with Sam Dale and Craig Evans, Professional Mountain Bikers and 50to01 co founders.

Sam Dale Bio

Sam Dale started riding bikes from the age of four and has been a constant force on the international race circuit. Sam has represented Great Britain in the Downhill World Championships and competed at the highest level in downhill and enduro competitions across the globe. Sam is a qualified mountain bike coach and is continuing to spread the positive messages about the benefits of cycling and nutrition. On top of this Sam continues to race sporadically around the world and is one of the founding members of 50to01, which is a group of friends and mountain bikers aiming to get more people stoked on riding bikes.

Craig Evans Bio

Raised on roots, ruts, and rocks, Sheffield local Craig Evans knows a thing or two about getting rad. It didn’t take long for Craig’s riding to catch the attention of another Sheffield local and mountain bike legend, Steve Peat. From those early days on the British racing circuit, chasing the World Cup dream and working long hours in the off-season, Craig has made an impact and name for himself in the sport. This would culminate in 2017, winning what is arguably the gnarliest gravity mountain bike race in the world—Red Bull Hardline—effortlessly tackling the steep and treacherous track with pin-point accuracy.

On the Day

Meet Sam and Craig at Dirt Factory. The lads will provide an overview of the session and get you warmed up. This is a unique opportunity to have a chat and ask any questions before taking to the trails. Dirt Factory will be closed to all other riders during the session.

What you’ll learn:

  • Optimal riding position – Ride in comfort and safely.
  • Riding skills – Learn new skills and ditch bad habits.
  • Training Principles – Learn some tips on getting the most of your body while biking.
  • Bike set up – Working with your bike, not against it.

After the two hour session, all riders will meet back at the café and will have a chance to put questions to Sam and/or Craig and find out about the daily life of a pro.

This course will be delivered at the Dirt Factory bike park, making the most of the indoor trails and airbag. The small course size (maximum 8 riders) allows people to learn in a friendly and relaxed group.
