Who says you need a wide open field to build the ultimate BMX training ground? Recently, the Dirt Factory Trail Services crew were tasked with a pretty epic challenge, building a custom berm to a modular pumptrack in a sloping, narrow garden. But hey, challenges are just part of the fun, right?
Our mission? To give 9 year old Oscar the perfect practice setup for his BMX racing. The kid’s got some serious speed, and he needed something a bit more intense in his backyard training ground. Oscars garden might be snug, but his ambition isn’t. Oscar’s got dreams of BMX glory, and a custom modular pumptrack and berm was just the ticket to help him train for racing.
Of course, we couldn’t let a little thing like uneven ground or tight spaces stop us. The Dirt Factory team loves a challenge. While Oscar and his parents were away in Paris Olympics watching the BMX racing, we got to work.
With some clever design and a little wizardry, we transformed that tricky terrain into a BMX racers dream. The result? A sweeping, flowing berm that fits perfectly into the sloped garden. Now Oscar’s backyard isn’t just a place to hang out—it’s a training ground fit for future BMX champions.
Oscar’s verdict? “This. Is. AWESOME.” He’s already tearing up the track and honing his bike skills. Watch out world, you might just be seeing Oscar at the BMX world championships soon.
