A Jump in the Dark

As part of our ongoing collaboration with creative photographer Conrad Ohnuki, we recently invited a few riders to literally have a jump in the dark. The low-light photo shoot involved some considerable planning and preparation but as you can see below, the shots are awesome.

Conrad was able to capture mountain bikers and BMXers having fun and expressing themselves in a series of unique shots. All of the images were taken as riders threw down tricks on our Dirt Factory airbag. The process of creating similar images in an outdoor setting would be much more difficult due to a number of uncontrollable variables.

Having an indoor bike park facility in the heart of Manchester city centre has opened the door to a number of creative projects. The Dirt Factory bike park really does lend itself to creativity and experimentation, both on two wheels and through artistic collaboration.
