One week with a Pumptrack
18/10/2024Ride bikes. Have fun. Feel good. That’s the ethos we live by, and it’s the message we sent out when searching for new brand ambassadors. Today, we’re thrilled to announce three incredible riders and individuals who embody our values and are ready to represent Dirt Factory.
As ambassadors, they’ll enjoy perks like free bike servicing and repairs, trade pricing on parts, exclusive Dirt Factory apparel and merchandise, and complimentary access to our events. Plus, they’ll have the full support of our team, with over 15 years of cycling industry experience to share – a valuable edge in this competitive field.
Let’s meet the new faces of Dirt Factory.
Katherine Oldfield

Katherine is the 2024 World Pro 4X Series Champion—a feat she achieved as a self-funded privateer while balancing a demanding career as an assistant headteacher at a secondary school. Her biking journey began at one of our Ladies-Only Nights at our indoor bike park, and now she’s a champion, proving that dedication and passion can take you far.
Katherine said:
“Joining the Dirt Factory team as an ambassador is an exciting opportunity for me. I first got into biking at the Dirt Factory pop-up indoor bike park, and since then, I’ve progressed alongside the company. Being an ambassador feels like the perfect way to give back and represent a team that has been part of my journey. I’m excited to share my experiences, help others get into biking, and support the values of fun, inclusivity, and progression that Dirt Factory stands for. This is exactly the support I need to level up in the next year of 4X racing.”
Layne Goddard
Instagram: @layne_bmx_mtb
Layne, 12, has been a part of the Dirt Factory family for years, and it’s about time we made it official. Layne rides both MTB and BMX, and his progression and resilience have been inspiring to watch. For us, Layne captures the true spirit of biking: riding any bike, having fun, giving it 100%, and personalizing your gear.

“I’m so excited to officially be a Dirt Factory ambassador and grateful for the support they’ve given me over the years. I’ve known the team since the indoor park days in Manchester—they keep my bikes in top shape and hook me up with the best gear. I can’t wait to get racing again in 2025 and represent the Dirt Factory crew wherever I ride.”
Arthwr Thomas (Art)
Instagram: @bikeart28
At just 11 years old, Art has already sent more jumps than a kangaroo on a pogo stick, some huge ones too! This young talent has been pushing boundaries since he was six, and there’s no slowing him down. Whether riding or chatting about bikes, Art brings incredible energy to the shop and bike park.
Art said:
“I am really stoked to be a dirt factory ambassador, the support I receive helps me out so much. Stuart is a really awesome mechanic and keeps my bike running at top level. It’s really cool to ride for such a great company, I’m proud to wear the name and represent the brand. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead in the next year”
Katherine is a shining example of how a simple introduction to biking can spark a lifelong passion. While not everyone may become a 4X champion, her journey proves that biking is about enjoying the ride, no matter the terrain.
Meanwhile, Layne and Art exemplify everything we aim to foster in young riders—fun, resilience, and personal growth through the sport. Dirt Factory has always been committed to encouraging the next generation of bikers, and these two are proof of the positive impact cycling can have on young lives.
Oh, and if Layne or Art get cheeky? We’ve got an assistant headteacher to keep them in check.
Thanks for reading, and welcome to the team, Katherine, Layne, and Art! 🚴♀️🚴♂️
Stay tuned for updates on their adventures with Dirt Factory.
