International Women’s Day is not just a day, it’s a celebration of progress, empowerment, and the relentless spirit of women worldwide. Today, Dirt Factory joined forces with FEL Scotland to mark the occasion in a truly special way at Bannockburn High School in Scotland. We were invited to set up our renowned pumptrack, helping turn the whole school grounds into an exhilarating hub of activity.
FEL had organised lots of inspirational talks and activities, and it didn’t take long for students to eagerly gather themselves around the modular pumptrack. Many of them had never experienced riding a pumptrack before, but with encouragement and support from their peers, teachers and our events team, they embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and determination. Their confidence grew with each lap, proving that with the right opportunities and encouragement, anything is possible.
Dirt Factory is committed to fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive. As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue championing diversity, breaking down barriers, and empowering the next generation of riders – one pumptrack at a time.
If any women out there are interested about accessing mountain biking, check out https://gowaan.co.uk/ and look out for their event happening 21-22 September 2024.
