After the Dirt Factory pop up coming to a quicker than expected end it was time for the team to come up with innovative ideas to reuse some of the pop up materials elsewhere. What better way than to open a Dirt Factory bike shop in collaboration with Farmer John’s mountain bike park in Marple.

With the pop up’s shipping containers being easy(ish) to transport from the city to the countryside we set about transforming what had been the wall ride, reception desk and bike storage into the new bike shop. After two months of hard graft, a respray and a few finishing touches the official Dirt Factory bike shop was ready to open. We were stoked that our Dirt Factory pop up bike shop manager @stoobot was able to stay with us in our new venture.
Shipping containers reused from the pop-up bike park in Manchester. Shop fitting. New shop front. Ready to sell some bikes.
10th April signalled our opening day. With the shop fully stocked and ready to go with a bit of sunshine in the sky the doors opened. With Stu at the helm with his fantastic knowledge of bike parts and mechanics the customers flowed in. It was great to see some new faces coming through the doors as well as some of the pop up’s tribe coming down to support us as well as riding the bike park.
With a range of mountain bikes, full face helmets, grips, pedals plus all your spares and repairs the Dirt Factory bike shop caters for a wide range of biking needs. If there is something you can’t see, let us know and we can see if we are able to get hold of it for you.
We also offer bike hire if you fancy a ride around Farmer John’s Mountain Bike Park. You can book these through the Dirt Factory website or Farmer John’s website www.fjmtb.com
The bike shop is open 5 days a week, an updated list of our opening hours is available on the dirt factory website and @dirtfactorybikeshop instagram.
