04/03/2022Dirt Factory is excited to officially announce a partnership with Trail Anywhere, a start-up company who shares the sames goals as we do – to get more people riding bikes. Read on to learn more about Trail Anywhere and hear from the founder himself, Steve, who has written a guest blog below.
The Dirt Factory Events team cannot wait to start taking the Trail Anywhere products around to different schools and communities to support both beginners and more established riders in improving their bike skills. The Trail Anywhere features will help to extend our portable equipment arsenal and really help riders hone skills such as bike handling, balance and body position, which in turn will help riders feel more confident when cycling on the road or off-road at trail centres.
Hi, my name is Steve, Trail Anywhere founder. It was way back in the autumn of 2019 when we first contacted the Dirt Factory team to explore the possibility of a partnership. Having spent several years on product development and buoyed by positive feedback from our stand at the NEC Cycle Show it felt like the right time to start building our brand.
The concept of Trail Anywhere is to supply portable features and obstacles for mountain bike skills coaching and events. This is a broad proposition so we initially focused on something which we hadn’t seen done before – portable rock gardens. Although Dirt Factory already had a real rock garden, we figured that our product might come in useful for their skills sessions.
Discussions hadn’t progressed very far before being interrupted by Covid. However we stayed in touch and as Dirt Factory became increasingly involved in delivering school sessions we explored ways in which we could support them. A key part of our vision was always to reach the grass roots of mountain biking and there are few better ways of doing that than engaging with kids.
Dirt Factory now has access to of a number of features, including rock gardens, rollers, a mini jump box and a see-saw which cover several core coaching points but most importantly will be great fun for kids of all ages and abilities.
We look forward to working with Dirt Factory to help grow our sport and promote inclusivity within mountain biking.
Steve Walters, Trail Anywhere Founder.
