What a fantastic weekend, Malverns Classic 2021 certainly delivered, some might even say it was like a Glastonbury on wheels. The event had been postponed for two years due to heavy rain in 2019 and the pandemic in 2020, but the wait was worth it.
The Dirt Factory events crew were on hand to set up the modular pump track and air bag for the punters, which is usually north of 5000 people. To top it off, there was a downhill race, dual slalom, a dirt jump competition and whip off, a balance bike championship, cross country, live downhill world championships on a big screen, free fun fair, music, beer and lots of professional riders dotted about.
If you’re looking for a family friendly event, this is it. Everyone knows the gravity racetracks at Malverns are not very technical, but they’re fun, and so is the whole weekend and that’s all what matters, right? If you want an action packed weekend on bikes, look no further than the Malverns Classic 2022.
A huge well done to Si and Oli Paton and the crew for a well organised and fun event.
